After only 4 weeks of premiering on YouTube, the Vietnamese 3D animated film - "Trang Quynh thoi nhi nho", has officially reached its first 1,000,000 views.

Trang Quynh Thoi Nhi Nho is the first 3D animation project about the character Trang Quynh in Vietnamese folklore, jointly produced by Sconnect and Alpha Animation Studio. The film is expected to have a scale of up to 450 episodes, produced with modern and vivid 3D technology, and released on multiple platforms such as social networks, television, OTT/IPTV in many countries. The theatrical version has also been planned by the producer to publicly release "Trang Quynh as a child" which is the first 3D animated film project about the character Trang Quynh in Vietnamese folklore by Sconnect and Alpha companies. Animation Studio coordinated the production. The film is expected to have a scale of up to 450 episodes, produced with modern and vivid 3D technology, and released on multiple platforms such as social networks, television, OTT/IPTV in many countries. The theatrical version is also planned by the producer to be released to the public.

1. The first impressions 

After only 4 weeks of premiering on the YouTube platform, "Trang Quynh thoi nhi nho" had the first episode to reach 1,000,000 views. Other episodes also received many positive responses from the audience with hundreds of thousands of views. Up to now, the film's official YouTube channel has a total of 10,000,000 views and nearly 20,000 subscribers.

2. Clean image

The explanation for this positive start of " Trang Quynh thoi nhi nho " certainly cannot help but mention the extremely carefully and beautifully invested images.   

The film is directed by director - artist Trinh Lam Tung, who has more than 20 years of experience in the animation production industry with a series of prestigious awards such as: Best Director of the 2nd National Film Festival. 20, Silver Lotus Award, Golden Kite Award...

Through the hands of Mr. Trinh Lam Tung, the scene of the northern Vietnamese countryside appears extremely realistic and vivid while still eye-catching and brilliant, suitable for young audiences.

3. Creative plot

The plot of the film is also highly appreciated as it is inspired by the character Trang Quynh in Vietnamese folk culture and the boy Quynh in the famous comic series by Writer - Artist Kim Khanh. The image of Mr. Trang with his mocking and sarcastic jokes about the ruling regime oppressing the people in feudal times, which has been deeply imprinted in the subconscious of Vietnamese people, is now interestingly recreated with his cleverness and soulfulness. Natural and pure of "baby" Trang Quynh.

Along with that is a completely new system of supporting characters, creating a childish, unique, and fun world. The story in each episode is highly entertaining but still focuses on conveying messages of humanity, education and rich Vietnamese identity.

4. The desire to pin Vietnam on the world animation map

In February 2023, the global animation market size was valued at 394.6 billion USD. The Asia-Pacific region is considered a dynamic region with the fastest growth rate. But currently, Japan is the market that accounts for nearly half of the animation industry in Asia. Next are China and Korea. Although Vietnam has recently recorded its presence in the post-production and technical processing of a series of world-famous animated films and movies, it has hardly made any distinct impression on its fertile land.

According to the progress of the project, in 2023 the producer will complete 34 episodes of Trang Quynh during hischildhood, each episode has a duration of 3.5 - 4 minutes, suitable for broadcast on digital environments and entertainment platforms fast and free, with the goal of covering the domestic market according to immediate goals. Since the announcement of the project, every week a new episode will be completed and released. In the long term, the producer aims to produce versions of Trang Quynh's childhood with a longer duration, from 10 - 30 minutes, to be released on domestic and international television, OTT/IPTV platforms as well as aiming to be turned into a theatrical film.

The first million or ten million views are probably nothing compared to the long-term ambitions of " Trang Quynh thoi nhi nho ". But hopefully these numbers will be an encouragement and motivation for the entire crew, crew and producers to work towards greater goals.
